About
Born in Södertälje, Sweden, 1968.
AnnaSofia Mååg’s experience in the ceramic field is wide: from small unique pottery to large scale public art and exhibitions. Mååg’s art has been shown in Sweden as well as abroad in many different exhibitions over the years. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the National Museum of Fine Arts in Stockholm, the Röhss Museum in Gothenburg, Sweden, and the Icheon World Ceramic Center in South Korea.
Since 2006 AnnaSofia has returned to Swedish Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi almost every winter to fulfill her ideas in ice and snow. She has also planned, teached and maintained the ice sculpting arrangements at Icehotel during the winter seasons between 2010 – 2016. Upto today she has created six different art suites on her own and has been involved in several other Icehotel art projects. Among the latter is the giant iceberg for the Chanel catwalk fall/winter collection 2010/11 in Grand Palais, Paris.
Since 2017 she has returned to Dalarna, Sweden, as the new main teacher in ceramics at Leksand Folk High school (Leksands folkhögskola).
